    Parwazprof, an out and indoor construction material importer from Turkish manufacturers that has been leading the market since its establishment. The main trading focus of the company has been PVC profile and has developed remarkable market position within Afghanistan. The company, along being the leading driver of the market, but has inked the name in the market to be primary contact for reselling PVC and construction materials to other companies and agencies in the market.

     

    Business Case

     

    Considering the mega housing projects and demand of the market for indoor and outdoor PVC profile, the management of the company had decided to establish  a production line in Afghanistan with the capacity of satisfying maximum market demand and competing Turkish manufacturers in local market. In order to turn the dream into reality, the company was struggling with lack of investment, technical expertise, vague marketing strategy and operation plan to execute the investment.

    Edgescope team helped the company pen the concept on paper to raise investment through possible means of investment channels and came up with an investment source of USAID funded program named  “ABADE – The Assistance in Building Afghanistan by Developing Enterprises.” The consultant raised $ 118,000.00 USD worth of investment from ABADE for purchasing the required machinery and technologies. In order to overcome technical challenges in the first phase of the project, the company needed a partner to educate and help them establish the production line. The team further helped the company to find Turkish partner by the name of Yildizpen who did not only provide technical support to client, but helped our team to develop operation plans and marketing strategy for the company.

     

     Solution Impacts

     

    A domestic PVC profile manufacturer responding the market demand with 21% cheaper product of the same quality as imported products which resulted in 400% increase in profit of the company.
